Digging deeper, diamonds have been around since 900 billion years, present below the earth’s crust. The name diamond originated from the Greek word Adamas which means unconquerable. The word described eternal love. In medieval times, they were used to ward off evil and negative energies. About 2000 years ago, diamonds were first discovered in India. They are also located in countries such as Australia, Africa, Canada, and Russia.

CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

The chemical composition for diamond consists of carbon. Diamonds earn their reputation as the sturdiest rocks due to their solid durability, chemical resistance, and high thermal conductivity. These rocks can also cut other diamonds due to the extreme strength. As its chemical composition consists of carbon, many people think that diamonds come from coal, but that is not the case.

HEALING PROPERTIES

The healing properties of the stone are limitless. Those wearing this stone can attract both negative and positive feelings, all depending on the energies they focus on. Diamonds help in increasing self-esteem and calmness in the mind and body. People wear this stone to feel fearless and confident. It enhances creative abilities and imaginative energies too. We also have the democratic republic of congo along with Australia, and Canada.

DIAMOND BIRTHSTONE CARE & CLEANING

The most important thing to make sure of is to keep your diamond away from lotions, perfumes, and any other scents because they can tamper with the sparkle, luster, and shine of your diamond. If you try to clean the stone, make sure to rub it with a clean cloth every day to keep it free from any extra stain or dirt that might get caught throughout the day. You can soak in sudsy water too. Make sure to take your diamond to a jeweler to have it professionally cleaned once or twice a year.
